Honiton Town secured a point against early season leaders Cullompton Rangers.
The competitive match saw Honiton start strongly, with Lewis Couch testing the keeper and Kyle Howell shooting wide.
However, Cullompton took the lead against the run of play, with Callum Hutchings scoring from the edge of the area.
Honiton nearly equalised when Tom Rush set up Aaron Pearse, only for the keeper to save at close range.
After the break, Honiton dominated possession and looked threatening down the flanks.
Their efforts were rewarded when James Venton, after beating his full-back, delivered a low cross for Pearse to equalise.
Honiton manager Leroy Venn said: "We scored a well-deserved equaliser and we were perhaps disappointed we did not go on and win it in the second half."
The draw leaves Honiton with a hard-earned point against the early-season pacesetters.
