Honiton Golf Club hosted a successful charity event, raising funds for Children in Need.

On October 30, the ladies' competition featured both 18-hole and 10-hole Greensomes formats.

The 18-hole winners, Lesley Farley and Janet Hughes scored 38 Stableford points, while Brenda Hyde and Chris Luttman triumphed in the 10-hole event with 17 points.

The winners received a beautifully hand-crafted Pudsey, made by club member Joan Smith.

In the mixed competition held on the following Tuesday, players took part in a monthly drawn Greensomes Stableford over 14 holes.

Conditions were soft, leading to modest scores.

Cathy Uttley and Paul Ritchie emerged as winners of the Centenary Goblets with 29 points.

Hilda Hoepelman and Stephen Clarke also scored 29 points but lost out on countback.

The Goblets were donated to the club in 1996 by Ben and Vera Chivers.
