Sidmouth Town are up to third place in the Peninsula League East table after a commanding 5-2 midweek win over local rivals Axminster Town.
They now trail leaders Cullompton Rangers by three points but have several games in hand.
The Vikings were five goals ahead on the hour with a hat trick from Nathan Cooper and a brace from Craig Veal.
Axminster netted two consolation goals in the last fifteen minutes through Owen Dibling and Tony Pinder.
