A golf club is set to undergo a major transformation.

Honiton Golf Club is set to extend and refurbish its clubhouse as part of the club's goal to become a top golfing destination in East Devon.

The club has been planning this for several years, aiming to provide a more relaxed and beautiful interior for members, visitors, and businesses.

The new programme will include refurbished changing rooms, improved access to the first floor, a fully equipped meeting room, a larger restaurant, and extended seating and relaxation areas, many of which will have views over the 18th hole.

The club will also be working with local contractors to complete this, with the new clubhouse expected to be completed in spring 2025.

Mike Drew, board chairman at Honiton Golf Club, said: "We are proud of our members, staff, and our fantastic course, and this is an important milestone in the history of the club.

"It will give us a clubhouse fit for the future, offering more versatile and accessible space that we can all enjoy and be equally proud of."

John Tierney, financial director at Honiton Golf Club, said: "This is an exciting time as we seek to build on the progress we have made, not only in our excellent parkland course, but also by continuing to invest in our built infrastructure for many years to come."

Honiton Golf Club is committed to becoming one of the top golf destinations in the area, where members, visitors of all ages and abilities, and businesses can enjoy the sport and social atmosphere.
