Minehead fought hard to secure their first point of the league season away to Honiton Hornets.
The ladies' team played their first away game at Ottery St Mary, ending in a 2-2 draw on Saturday, October 5.
Early in the match, Honiton threatened to score, but Minehead's goalkeeper, Jan, saved the day.
Minehead then found their rhythm, creating strong passes and attacks, including earning the first short corner of the game.
Amy capitalised, slipping left to score, putting Minehead 1-0 up at the break.
After a quick refuel with jelly babies and a change of ends, Minehead's midfield continued to shine.
Amy passed to Gemma, who set up Zoey to score the second goal, taking advantage of Honiton's sparse defence.
Honiton, however, didn't back down, scoring their first goal from a short corner.
The match saw the Minehead midfield tirelessly switching between attack and defence, with Jan making several key saves.
Despite strong clearances from the defence, including aerial balls from Jess, Honiton piled on the pressure, earning several short corners.
One of these was defended well by Amy, who made an attacking run, but Honiton regained possession.
Minehead was unable to save the next short corner, with the final score at 2-2.
Jan was named the Woodwork Machinery player of the match for her brilliant saves.
Minehead are set to play at home next weekend against Exeter 4s, with a pushback at 10.30am.
