The annual Seniors Section Masters Competition and Founders Trophy at Axe Cliff Golf Club saw tight races and impressive golfing.
In the Masters Competition, which is over 4 medal rounds played over a short consecutive period, Anthony Davis came out on top with a net total of 290, barely beating Tony Strong by a single point.
Davis secured his victory with an astonishing third-round score of 64.
Tony pushed him all the way with his 291 and all his rounds were in the 70's, which takes some doing.
Still, in the Masters, Nigel Pritchard landed third place with his final score of 299, marked by two rounds under 70.
However, his performance dipped with scores of 79 and 83 in the other rounds.
In the Founders Trophy, the competition was fierce.
This unique contest pits golfers against one another in the Medford format.
It saw Andrew Bailey winning against Stuart Mackie on countback, both scoring an exceptional low of just 15.
The men's section also had its fair share of stellar performances during the Centenary Cup.
The top three players all beat par, with Matt Hall leading the pack with an eye-catching score of 63.
Closely on his heels were Ian Wallis and Mike Cottam, finishing with scores of 68 and 69 respectively.
All in all, the competitions were brimming with fierce contests and impressive demonstrations of golfing skills.
