In the men’s over 60s league, the Eagles secured a good win against visitors Crediton B by 41-27.
The winning rink was P Lawlor, G O’Hara and Roger Clarke 21-7.
The other rink was tied.
The Hawks lost to visitors Hemyock by 30-31 with just one rink tied.
The mixed team had a week of narrow losses.
Losing at home to Sidmouth by 56-58, the winning rinks were J David, V Murdoch and R Smith 21-12, and P Bright, J Mackintosh and A Murdoch 18-11.
Losing away to Chardstock on all three rinks.
There was a pulsating match away at Lyme Regis losing by 58-68, the only winning rink was S Kury, V. Murdoch and R Smith 22-14.
The weekend was given over to the Gents and Ladies two wood competition.
B Cann triumphed over A Smith in the men’s competition and D Phillips defeated V. Murdoch in the ladies competition
