The winner of the Ha Ha Cup has been crowned.
It took place on Sunday, April 26.
Winning on the 19th hole were James Samuel and David Williams, who beat Dave Carnall and John Tierney in what was a scrappy final.
Neither team found any real rhythm throughout the final.
The winning pair led early by two holes, only to stand on the 18th one down, but then with a par on the last and again another par on the first extra hole, the duo claimed victory.
Honiton Seniors then competed for the Anniversary Salvers in a pairs Stableford with a shot gun start.
The competition and trophy winners were Derek Keen and Mike Watts, finishing with 44 points and just a single point ahead of Neil Price and Steve Blundell.
The pairings John Higgins and Steve Stych, Mike Sennitt and Brian Thompson and Ron Graham and Paul Webber filled the minor places.
In their second friendly match of the season, the seniors were pitted against a Sidmouth team, the bulk of which was made up of high handicappers.
The combination of giving up so many shots in every match and the home advantage of our opponents was too much to overcome, resulting in a convincing defeat.
