In the Premier Division of the Devon Women's Football League, leaders, Plympton Ladies ended the title aspirations of nearest rivals, Budleigh Salterton.

They beat them 5-2 away from home, with Sam Metters scoring with a hat trick, while Mollie Naughton and Donna Igalawuya netted one each.

In third place, Bradworthy Women won 4-1 at home against Teignmouth with goals from Danielle Bailey (2), Olivia Sellars and Leanne Stanbury.

Crediton United returned to form with a 6-3 home win over Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police.

Katy Harkness and Mollie Tomkins added the others. Rachel Fleming, Leanne Robbins and Emily Burt replied for the visitors.

The top two in the North/East Division met with Honiton at home to leaders Appledore.

Honiton replied through an own goal and Emma Mingo.

Braunton Wanderers, who have more games to play than the others, still have an outside chance of second place, but they were made to struggle for maximum points by a resilient RBL Alphington, who only lost 2-1.

Aimee Trigell scored for Hemyock Women on their trip to play Ottery St Mary, but it was only a consolation as the Otters score three in reply.
