Beer Albion have once again reached the final of the Devon Premier Cup. After knocking league leaders Exeter University out in the quarters, they were given another tough game in the Semi Final in North Molton, but thankfully with home advantage, writes Mike Adkin.
Finley Rooke opened the scoring with a penalty and the same man headed in the second on 22 minutes. North Molton pulled one back before Rooke completed his hat-trick early in the second period.
A towering header from Charlie Ledger effectively killed the tie and he scored again to make it five before a late consolation for the visitors. Beer will play Park United in the final.
Beer Albion were held to a 1-1 draw at Bere Alston in the Devon Football League last weekend, Finley Rooke on target for the Fishermen. University of Exeter are well clear at the top but Beer have a chance of catching Appledore in second.
