Braving the cold, 16 Honiton golfers took on a better-ball contest, with Linda Blundell and David Smith securing victory with a very creditable 25 points. Joan Crook and Andy Dawe were runners-up.
It was a nice moment for Linda, who was also named the Tuesday Mixed Player of the Year for 2023.
The format for Wednesday's Ladies Day competition was a three-ball Stableford, with just one score to count, played over 14 holes. In first place with 35 points were Anne Jarvis, Sue Ritchie and Cathy Uttley. Also, the ladies played a 9-hole Pairs Better-ball and this was won by Kathy de Lacy and Linda McLaughlin.
The Seniors eventually got a game of golf on Friday when 48 players braved the chilly weather to compete in a foursomes match. The winners were Larry Goodliffe and Brian Thompson with 44 points, followed by Graham Cumming and Steve Stych.
