Fifty two players braved the frozen conditions at Honiton Golf Club in a four-player shotgun start team event, writes Dave Carnall.  

It was a fine score of 86 for Derek Richards, Dave McGrath, Jon Marchant and Julian Netherway, beating on countback Michael and Steve Bagg, Ashley Kempson and James Samuel and only a further point back in third were Caroline and Steve Bond, Ann Trayling and John Craig.

At long last the Seniors were able to play and 56 players enjoyed a Texas Scramble. The winning team were Graham Cumming, Bill Phillips and Mike Swann.

This week's 14-hole Tuesday Mixed Competition was a Pairs Fun Betterball, with the 'fun' part being that both scores had to count on holes 6 and 12. The winning pair were Ann Trayling and Steve Bond with a score of 37 points. Tracey and David Smith were second with 35 points and Georgie and Roger Edwards came third with 34 points.
