East Devon swimming was proudly represented at the Swim England National Awards, as the Trident Club from Axminster took their place on the national stage.
While the Trident team didn’t take the top prize, they did enjoy the sizeable consolation of being confirmed as the South West Swimming Club of the Year, a magnificent achievement for a club now recognised as one of the top eight in the country.
Trident Swimming Club said: “Chairman Nick Jean and coach Megan Herbert had the pleasure of representing Trident at the Swim England National Awards. Trident was nominated for National club of the year and despite not winning this award, it is a huge achievement to say that Trident is in the top 8 best swimming clubs in the country.
“We are so proud of our small club and this recognition is all down to our coaches, committee, volunteers and fabulous swimmers that make our fantastic club.”
