Honiton Under-12s rugby team made a strong start to the season against Exeter Saracens.
New coach Jack Procter and Martin Canniford have been working hard on the team’s training to prepare them for the new season and it’s paying off.
Exeter had a strong defence, which was hard to break through but Tom Baily scored a brilliant try, showing his speed and stamina in the attack. Man of the match went to Luca Middleton who put in a tremendous effort in his debut for Honiton.
The team would like to thank their new sponsors for their smart new kit Worsdale Fabrications, Otter Valley Field Kitchen and CJ Cox.
On the adult scene, Honiton 2nds produced some top rugby to win 29-17 at Crediton 3rds on the weekend but there was frustration for the Ton first-team, as their scheduled game with Ivybridge was cancelled due to the opposition being unable to raise a team.
