League tables are beginning to take shape in the Devon & Exeter Football League, as Colyton lead the way in the Premier Division, despite suffering their first defeat of the campaign, 3-1 at Crediton.

Alphington are leading the chase after a 9-0 demolition of Elmore 2nds, with Upottery in third following a brace from Blake Freemantle, which secured a 2-0 victory over Lapford. A goal from Michael Knight earned Lyme Regis a 1-1 draw at home to Sandford.

St Martins are two points clear at the top of Division 1 following a 5-0 win at Newtown 2nds, Lympstone lost 3-0 at home to Hatherleigh, while Tom Taylor scored an incredible four goals in a 6-1 victory for Ottery St Mary 2nds against Dawlish United.

Farway United are the leaders in Division 2 but the biggest game was at Beer Albion 2nds, where Seaton Town took the local bragging rights with an enthralling 4-3 win. Dan Tratt scored twice for Seaton, with the other goals from Ed Kenworthy and Seth Wakely.

Broadclyst maintained their 100% record in Division 3 but Budleigh Salterton 2nds are top of the table following an exciting 3-3 draw with Alphington 2nds. Sidmouth Town 2nds went down to a 3-2 defeat at home to Halwill.

Bickleigh lead Division 4 but were made to work hard for a 3-2 win at Uplyme, while Starcross Dons are the top team in Division 5. Cameron Brown scored for Otterton in a 1-1 draw at Beacon Knights and share the Division 6 lead with Bampton, who thrashed Axmouth United 7-0.

City Raiders 2nds and Uplowman Athletic are the joint leaders in Division 7 and Division 8 looks like being a race between Heavitree United 2nds and Alphington 3rds.

A number of South-West Peninsula League clubs were involved in the FA Vase on Saturday and six teams will join Bovey Tracey in the first round proper.

Elburton Villa won on penalties at Ilfracombe Town, Torrington beat Launceston 3-0 and Okehampton Argyle triumphed over Bude Town by the same score.

There was heartbreak for Sidmouth Town at St Austell. The Vikings battled to a 3-3 draw in normal time but lost their radar in the penalty shoot-out, as the Cornishmen prevailed from the spot.
