Honiton Golf Club held its last Open of the year with a full field taking part in a two-ball Texas Scramble on a scorching hot day.

The winners from Bramshaw GC were Richard Eves and Rob Tobin with an excellent 59, winning the best home team were Cameron Long and Sam Phillips with a fine 60. The home players fared well in nearest the pin prizes with Damien Studley being closest on the 2nd, Tim Metheringham on the 10th and Graham Johnson on the 12th.

The Glanvill Cup, a mixed format of Stableford, was won by Heidi Watson Jones and Marcus Watson Jones, closely followed by Catherine and John Pawley.

The format for the Mixed competition was a Team Stableford, two men and two ladies and the winning team of Cathy Uttley, Maggie and John Harvey and Mick Swann, had an excellent score of 81. Second place went to Linda Curtis, Vera and Alan Richardson and Mike Delaney.
