Axe Cliff GC Ladies know how to enjoy their away days, particularly when organised by Jill Wellington and Karin Cox, writes Dave Bruce.

The latest trip to Dorset Golf & Country Club at Bere Regis started in teams of four with the two best scores to count including prizes for nearest the pin on 2 holes.

After a hearty breakfast off they went again over the same courses but in different teams. Everyone wins something at Axe Cliff Ladies but nobody won the special prize for anyone managing to avoid the many bunkers.

The Seniors September Medal produced some great golf in very hot conditions. Gerry Binmore won Div 1 with a remarkable nett 63. Andrew Thompson and Terry Atkins completed the top three.

Alan Morgan easily took top position in Div 2 with his nett 66, followed by Richard Bush and Chris Walker. The weekly Mashers Roll Up was won by Paul Clode.
