The Tuesday mixed better ball event at Honiton Golf Club was won by Hilda Hoepelman and Mike Delaney with 46 points, beating Sarah Dawe and Steve Blundell on countback.
Honiton Seniors played friendly matches against Exeter but suffered a loss, which meant the Stan Parker trophy was retained by them. Honiton then suffered a heavy defeat at Bridport in the first leg of their tie.
Honiton entered a team in the East Devon pheasant challenge, Peter Clarke, David Scott, John Jackson and a late replacement Ron Graham did what no other Honiton team had done in the seven years it has been played by winning the competition with a fabulous overall score of 82.
The Seniors Texas Scramble was won by Simon Ruben, Barry Sims, and John Wigginton with a score of 55. In the top five home scores, Brian Thompson, Steve Bond and Mick Swann came 1st with 56 points. Also finishing with 56 were Bill Eaton, Ian Collier and John Craig.
In the top five places for the visitors were Rod Vowles, Geoff Rooke and Steve Leaver from Cannington with 56 points and Adrian White Gareth Stephens, and Mark McGoogan from Sidmouth, also with 56.
