A Texas Scramble at Honiton Golf Club was won by Nic and Chris Feeney, along with Mark Simic, scoring a superb 59 points.

Losing out by a shot were Alan Piper, Mike Godfrey and Ian Williams and back in third with 61 were Andy Manley, Mark Sanders and Clive Backham.

The Dartmoor League team had a start of the season Stableford event held at Churston with Honiton Team Captain Julian Netherway and Dave Carnall returning with 37 pts, Rob Luscombe and Mark Reed 35, and Dan Meek and Paul Borkowski 31.

Senior friendly matches and Honiton went down to narrow defeats at Oake Manor and Torquay, while the weather was glorious for the Tuesday Mixed competition this week and there was a good turnout for the Treble Six format. The winners this week were Georgie Hope-Edwards and Paul Ritchie with a score of 43 points, well ahead of the runners-up Caroline Bond and Rob Grove.

After a glorious Tuesday, it was back to wet and windy weather for Ladies Day and a foursomes format. Sarah Loader and Lady Captain Jayne Jackson were the winners with a fine score of 35. In second place were Linda Curtis and Linda Blundell with 32.
