Young Amy Rodriquez has only just taken up golf but if the latest round of the Ladies Count Prize Competition is anything to go by, she will be one to look out for.
Rodriguez was a clear winner with an amazing 39 points, with the closest finishers Margaret Kenchington (32) and Pauline Willis (28).
With only one round to play in the Seniors Winter League, Mike Wickins holds s slender lead on 178, with Bill Dearling on 177 and Terry Atkins 175.
Hopefully these three will be playing together on March 24 and spectators can buy their tickets now from Captain Steve Thompson.
The weather was good for Mashers Roll Up last Wednesday and certainly enjoyed mostly by Graham Smith, winning with an incredible 46 points from Mike Chadwick on 39 and Terry Atkins on 38.
The popular team game of Florida Scramble was again a lot of fun and this time was won by Simon Wellington, Andy Hopgood and Ian Carvell with a fine nett 64.
They were pushed all the way by Chris Jowett, Andrew Thompson and Richard Chambers, who came second on 66, matched by Tony Strong, John Purdy and Bunny Hanson but they had to be happy with third on countback.
