A superb second-half performance in howling conditions earned Honiton a fully-deserved 34-15 victory over a spirited South Molton side.
The Ton started very slowly and conceded two unconverted tries to trail 10-0 before Louis Lane drove through the line for the home side, quickly followed by a sweeping move that gave Ben Phillips room to score out wide.
South Molton restored their five-point advantage with a super team try on the stroke of half-time but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
A superb solo try from Phillips levelled the scores and the Honiton forwards were beginning to dominate. Dom Burnhardt forced himself over the line and a lovely dummy from captain Ton skipper Jonny House gave him the room to extend the lead to 27-15.
Victory was confirmed by a terrific try from Ben Spence and a top display from both sides in horrible weather.
