Honiton Rugby Club delivered another impressed display as they secured a fully-deserved 31-17 victory at North Tawton.
The opening score came on 16 minutes, when the ball was spun wide for Ben Kidson to score, Dom Lovesey adding the extras. A terrific interception from Dom Burnhart set up the next score but North Tawton hit back to make the score 14-5.
The Ton soon restored control of the game, Will Goulden powering over the line, and his second try on the hour effectively sealed the win. Lovesey was imperious with the boot, as Honiton stretched their lead to 31-5.
North Tawton fought back well in the closing stages, although there was possibly an element of Honiton taking their foot of the gas. Two late tries gave the score a more respectable feel for the hosts but Honiton can still take satisfaction from another powerful victory.
