In a thrilling end to the season, the Under-16s of Cranbrook United and Ottery St Mary met for a title decider, with Cranbrook just needing a point to pip their old rivals to the Division 1 crown.
In a pulsating encounter, Cranbrook opened the scoring 13 minutes after an excellent team move but the Otters soon struck back. Both goalkeepers then took centre stage with a string of superb saves.
Ottery grabbed the lead just before half-time but the advantage was short-lived, as Cranbrook swiftly equalised, making it 2-2 at the break and all to play for.
The Otters scored the next goal and were just 15 minutes away from the title when Cranbrook find the net for a goal that would ultimately prove enough. Congratulations to Cranbrook United Under-16s for winning the league and also to Ottery St Mary for their part in an enthralling campaign.
