Sport England announces a further £2million of funding to support active lifestyles
|
Residents in Exeter and Cranbrook participate in more physical activity now than they did before Covid, according to a new report released today. The report, produced by Live and Move, the Sport England supported programme that operates in the city, says that fewer people in Exeter class themselves as ‘inactive’ than in previous years, and that the number of those classing themselves as ‘fairly active’, has increased.

Exeter’s iconic station was renamed this week in honour of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 coming to the city. Exeter St David’s became ‘ExeTRY St David’s’ to celebrate the tournament’s arrival and to bring intrigue and buzz to the city that is set to host nine different nations and two quarter final matches in the tournament next year.
