Honiton Lions' Classic Car and Vehicle Show will feature at this year's Honiton Market Charter Day celebrations on July 31.
As in past years, the Honiton Lions will be participating in the town Market Day celebrations, which are now in their12th year,.
The popular classic car and vehicle show will take place on All Hallows playing fields. Lions volunteers will also be selling books, plants and tickets for their grand prize draw, to be held at the Otter Inn on Sunday, November 7.
Approximately 60 applications have already been registered for the show, featuring vehicles from a bygone age. For those of you that may be interested; the entry cost is £8 payable on the day. Application forms can be obtained by calling Kevin Linsdell on 01404 42464.
Having given significant financial assistance to several local organisations – Honiton Food Bank, The Random Kitchen, TRIP, RBL and Millwater School during the pandemic, the Lions recently agreed to donate £500 to an International Lions Appeal to keep helping victims of Covid-19 in India.
Further financial support of £200 will also be given to an elderly Honiton resident who is raising money for Hospicare by undertaking an event similar to a triathalon.
Following the success of the last three previous mole screening days, the Lions are planning to hold another such event in the spring of 2022.
Anyone wishing to gain more information about the Lions should contact Brian Richards on 01404 43738.
