Francis Rossi is coming to Axminster as one of the 30 new dates added to his much-anticipated UK tour.

The Status Quo frontman will be performing at Axminster Guildhall as part of his new show, An Evening of Francis Rossi’s Songs from the Status Quo Songbook and More, on September 22, 2025

Mr Rossi is set to offer fans a unique experience, featuring songs he has never played in this format before, as well as sharing backstage tales from his illustrious career.

These stories will include his numerous appearances on Top Of The Pops, the reason Status Quo went on first at Live Aid, his life with bandmate Rick Parfitt, the band's hits, fellow stars, and the misadventures they encountered around the world.

All of this will be delivered with Mr Rossi's characteristic wit and humour.

The narrative of the show starts with "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and continues up to the present day.

Mr Rossi will primarily be playing his acoustasonic guitar, which he describes as "basically a Telecaster but is more compatible with a show of this nature – it still has the ring and sound of a Tele."

Alongside his continuing success with Status Quo, who had a full calendar of shows this year, he has been enjoying taking his one-man show on the road.

Everything you must know (Image: Axminster Guildhall) Mr Rossi said: "I am delighted to add these extra dates for the 2025 tour.

"This is a brand new show so I am looking forward to taking it to new venues and new crowds, but also returning to some of my favourite places in the UK.

"The show lifts the lid on a lot of what went on in the world of Status Quo, and I build in plenty of songs along the way – lots of my classic hits, but there are also versions of songs that I haven’t tried in the format before, and I have to say they sound fantastic.

"There’s a lot to get through so don’t be late!"

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available, which will include a pre-show meet and greet with Mr Rossi, a personal photo opportunity, a signing opportunity for one of your own items, one of the best seats in the house for the show, and an exclusive tour merchandise item.
