A Lions Club has donated thousands to charities, supported a spectacles recycling scheme and held barn dances.
Honiton Lions have shared their donations with 41 charities over the past year, totalling £10,651, marking the end of their annual term on June 30.
This period, known as the 'Lions Year,' runs from July 1 to June 30.
So far, in the current Lions Year, they have contributed about £5,500 to another group of charitable organisations.
The club has a long-standing tradition in the UK of collecting unwanted spectacles, which are graded and sent to Third World countries.
Honiton Lions have continued to participate in this initiative, providing drop-off points at surgeries, libraries and opticians.
The club's social contributions don't stop there, they also organised two successful barn dances.
The latest, held on Friday, October 18, in Mackarness Hall, was a hit among attendees. Another dance is on the cards for spring 2025.
