A ghost story adaptation was performed at the Lyme Regis Marine Theatre.
Papatango Theatre Company took Robert Westall's The Watch House on a 12-stop tour around the country, including a one-night-only performance in Lyme Regis on October 30.
There was also a performance at Barnfield Theatre in Exeter on November 5 and 6.
Directed by George Turvey, the production unearths a tale of an abandoned coastguard station, a lonely girl named Anne, and a deep-seated secret that only she can unravel.
The play was a thrilling adventure, as Anne and her unusual group of companions navigated through graveyards, discos, and shipwrecks to uncover the truth.
With a history of creating engaging theatre, Papatango has previously staged the world premiere of award-winning plays and is known for its commitment to new writing.
The Watch House, adapted by Chris Foxon, is another feather in their cap, ripe with the potential to captivate audiences with its blend of humour and suspense.
The cast includes Donald McBride, Catherine Dryden, and Aoife Kennan, each bringing a wealth of experience from theatre, film, and television.
The Watch House was first published in 2023 and has since enjoyed a sold-out run in Westall’s home territory of North Tyneside.
More information about the performance can be found on the Marine Theatre's website.
