A rare film reel featuring exclusive footage of King Charles III’s christening is set to be auctioned.
The film, bought for £6 in a charity shop by a South Carolina resident, is in "mint condition" and will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
The auction is with Stuart Bull Auctions in Chard.
The film, dated December 15, 1948, showcases the then Prince Charles being held by his mother, Princess Elizabeth, along with four generations of the royal family: Queen Mary, King George VI, Prince Philip, and the young Prince of Wales himself.
It also features crowds outside Buckingham Palace hoping to catch a glimpse of the week-old Prince.
The auction will also include a chair believed to have been used by the five-year-old Prince Charles during the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1963.
The chair was gifted to the vendor's aunt by Queen Mary and comes with a photo of Queen Mary holding Prince Charles in his christening gown, as well as other photos, all signed by Queen Mary.
Another item up for bid is the original and restored model of the Liberator spaceship used in the 1976-1979 series Blake’s 7.
This model, which was used in the final scene of the series where the spaceship was blown up, was made and later restored by Martin Bower, who worked on the series for three years.
The model comes with a signed certificate of authentication from Martin Bower himself.
