A councillor has donated £4,000 to dementia support groups.
The Devon County Councillor for Feniton and Honiton, Phil Twiss, has donated the money to Honiton Memory Café, Honiton Admiral Nurse, and Dementia Friendly Honiton.
He said: "I am delighted to be able to provide some financial support to these organisations in my local area which are close to my heart.
"They offer a lifeline for very many people and the work they do in a voluntary capacity is valuable beyond measure."
Dementia Friendly Honiton is a charity that supports people with dementia, their carers, and families.
Chair, Heather Penwarden, said: "As a volunteer-run organisation we rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to help us carry on now into our 14th year, all donations are valuable to us and we are extremely grateful to Councillor Twiss for approving this grant from his Devon County Council Community Fund."
