Martin Fry, ABC frontman, is set to embark on a theatre tour.

The singer, who led the band to stardom with hits like Poison Arrow, The Look of Love, and When Smokey Sings, will share stories from his newly released autobiography, A Lexicon of Life.

He is set to perform at the Axminster Guildhall on June 19, 2025.

His autobiography comes with a classic version that is signed and includes acoustic recordings of his hits.

There is also a superluxe version, hand-bound in the same Savile Row fabric used to make Martin Fry's famous gold suits.

This version has a gold vinyl of his most popular songs.

The theatre tour will see Mr Fry, who grew up in the North of England, perform acoustic versions of his songs with two bandmates and share stories from his time in the music industry.

Looking back on his career, Mr Fry said that it has been an incredible journey.

He will perform acoustic versions of his greatest hits, as well as new songs, on the tour.

Mr Fry's journey includes surviving a brush with Hodgkin lymphoma at the height of his success and hanging out with the likes of Andy Warhol and Robbie Williams.

He also received an honorary Doctor of Music degree from the University of Sheffield.

Starting in music inspired by David Bowie and The Sex Pistols, Mr Fry formed ABC after living a bohemian life during his years at Sheffield University.

Their debut album, The Lexicon of Love, made them global stars.

The band hit the road, playing to audiences around the world and meeting figures such as Andy Warhol.

Reflecting on his career, Mr Fry said: "Obviously, there’s a big part of me that identifies with the man in the gold lamé suit.

"That’s who I became.

"There are 40,000 people dancing in a field, singing my words back at me.

"But, you know, you have to understand that that’s just one part of who you are and what you do.

"That’s just one small facet of your life."

His career renaissance came when he joined Robbie Williams for a tour of football stadiums, playing to tens of thousands of fans each night.

He said: "Playing to something approaching 200,000 people at Milton Keynes Bowl for three nights was something I never thought would happen."

More tours followed, including a set of shows with Meatloaf.

Mr Fry created a new record, The Lexicon Of Love II, which took him back into the top five of the UK album chart.

He said: "It’s been a wild ride.

"And the incredible thing is that as I hit the road with The Lexicon of Life, I feel as though I’m just getting started."
