A tribute band is set to perform in Axminster.

The Bootleg Shadows will perform at Axminster Guildhall on Saturday, October 26, at 7.30pm.

The group will perform songs such as Foot Tapper, Man of Mystery, Atlantis, Wonderful Land, Kon Tiki, Don't Cry For Me Argentina, FBI, and many more.

The Bootleg Shadows, who keep the Shadows' live sound alive, perform a fantasy concert that spans the Shadows' career from 1960 to the early 1980s.

The Shadows, originally made up of Hank B Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris, and Tony Meehan, recorded Apache in June 1960.

The song became a massive hit in July and launched the Shadows' instrumental career.

The Shadows went on to have 35 hits of their own, not counting another 33 hits with Cliff Richard.

This gave them more hits than any other British group and secured them a unique place in the history of popular music.

Although the original Shadows make few live appearances today, the Bootleg Shadows invite concert audiences to relive the band's remarkable career with plenty of humour, making for a memorable night out.

Fans of the 1960s sound can expect a unique tribute that will have them humming the tunes and doing the Shadows' famous walk long after the show is over.

Tickets for the concert are priced at £19.50 and can be purchased from the Axminster Guildhall website.
