Honiton Carers have been busy with a range of community activities.
The group enjoyed an arts and crafts afternoon on Wednesday, September 25, led by Hazel Austin.
Participants made small trees with flowers from wooden blocks, wire, and buttons.
Despite being a bit challenging for some, the session was enjoyed by all.
Honiton Carers also attended the East Devon Unpaid Carers Awareness Day at the Ocean in Exmouth.
The event was organised by Devon Carers, a Westbank service for unpaid carers, and Wellmoor from Moretonhampstead, North East Dartmoor.
Approximately 25 companies attended, offering support to unpaid carers and their families.
Honiton Carers had a stand, manned by volunteers and trustees Stella Ford, Barbara East, and chairman Win Cameron.
The event saw carers and families from various areas, including Feniton and other villages supported by Honiton Carers.
The Citizens Advice stand was particularly busy, providing help to carers and families struggling in the current economic climate.
The group also attended a Macmillan coffee morning at Whimple Crematorium on Friday, September 27.
The morning was spent meeting generous people, including some former carers.
They are now looking forward to their next visit to the Whimple Crematorium Memorial service on December 5 at 6.30pm.
Some of the group's recently LED-trained walk leaders will complete their training by shadowing established walk leaders on a walk starting from Honiton Bottom on Monday, September 30.
The rest of the recently trained walk leaders will complete their training on December 9, doing the same walk.
Honiton Carers welcomes all unpaid carers, mainly supporting those from Honiton and surrounding districts.
The group meets fortnightly at the Kitchen at Combe Garden Centre.
The next meeting is on Wednesday, October 2, from 3pm to 4.30pm.
