A serious van crash on the A375 near Sidbury this morning has left one man with serious injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police Police are currently at the scene of a serious collision in Sidmouth. The road is closed both ways near the Hare and Hounds pub at Putts Corner. Police expect the road to be closed for some time.
A spokesman for the police said: "This is a serious incident. Motorists are urged to find an alternative route for the time being."

Officers were called at 10.30am on Friday September 13 after a single-vehicle collision involving a van on the A375 at Sidbury.
"One man has sustained serious injuries. Ambulance, air ambulance and the fire service are also in attendance."
The police force are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police online or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 229 of 13 September.
