An exhibition showcasing the fragility of nature is set to open at a museum.

Watercolour artist Trisha Hayman’s latest exhibition, The Really Wild Show, will be on display at the Lyme Regis Museum’s Rotunda Gallery.

The exhibition, which starts on September 17, will run until November 10.

The paintings, which include sea life, silk moths, seed pods, autumn leaves, fossils, and animal antlers, are described by Trisha as an observation of the fragility of nature within the natural world.

She said: "Some are beautiful, some are bland and some are just ignored.

"The approach to my work takes many hours examining my subject matter very closely, so my essential tools are a fine sable paintbrush (as I only work in watercolour), a magnifying glass and plenty of hot-pressed paper."
