Congratulations to the class of 2024 who are celebrating a strong set of exam results at Axe Valley.

Headteacher, Mr Rob Crocker says the school is particularly pleased to see that years of hard work and perseverance has paid off with students look forward to a wide range of exciting destinations in September for further study and apprenticeships.

Special recognition goes to students who studied relentlessly in preparation for their examinations. In particular, Fletcher Davis with three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. May Bloor-Gould who achieved a Grade 9 in Maths, a Distinction* in Performing Arts, six Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. Also to Taliah Morais who earned two Grade 9s and six Grade 8s. Well done to Eva Jefferies who was awarded six Grade 8s and four Grade 7s.

Alongside high-performing students the school want to congratulate those who made excellent progress, the following students far exceeded their target grades across the board and make excellent progress: Summer Burgess, Joey Jones-Tovey, Brandon Mattey, Poppy Neal, Zanna Newsholme, Christopher Parker, Matthew Read, Dasha Reilly, Stephanie Rose-Hibbs, Tilly Smith, Morgan Strudwick and Abbie Thomas.

Staff and students work together tirelessly at Axe Valley to help ensure that young people have a bright future and this year group are a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance. I’m particularly pleased that our English and Maths pass rate has continued to improve from a record high last year. Students leave us about to embark upon exciting and ambitious next steps and should be proud of their achievements. We look forward to following their successes in to the future.”
