Trains between Honiton and Axminster are 'running at a reduced speed' due to a landslip on Tuesday night.

A landslip at Honiton Tunnel on August 22 caused trains to run slower than normal. South Western Railway train services running through Honiton and Axminster stations are returning to normal, but some services may still be delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until Network Rail can shore up the hill and repair any damage. Lines were closed on Tuesday night, the line has re-opened but a speed restriction of 50mph is in place.

SWR is urging passengers to use local bus services. You also may be entitled to compensation via their website.

A spokesman for SWR said: "All lines have now reopened. Trains can now run with a speed restriction in place of 50mph however, some services might still be delayed or revised.

"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point. Once again, we are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
