Residents of Honiton are in for a treat as The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience visits The Beehive.

The multimedia theatrical homage to two Renaissance masters will take attendees back in time to the Italian Renaissance with the show's creator and performer, Mark Rodgers.

Mr Rodgers, a highly regarded figure in the art world, began his career at the CBS Television Network in Hollywood before stepping into entrepreneurship.

He is currently the director of the Davinci Machines and Michelangelo Exhibitions, in partnership with the Leonardo DaVinci Museum in Florence.

His enthusiasm for the subject is infectious, as he brings to life the work of these art giants through his theatrical production.

A popular touring show in the US, The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience will make its UK debut in Honiton.

Aimed to inspire audiences of all ages, the event portrays the history, rivalry, and creativity of DaVinci and Michelangelo.

Rodgers presents their groundbreaking inventions, sketches, paintings, and sculptures, projected on giant screens in a contemporary and engaging way.

The unique aspect of this show is how it encourages viewers to seek out their inner DaVinci or Michelangelo, revealing how these Renaissance masters continue to inspire creatives today.

Featuring two shows at 2pm and 7pm, an optional homemade lunch can be ordered with the 2pm show for attendees to enjoy before the start.

Rodgers's productions have toured across the US, Australia, Europe, and China.

In 2022, The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience had over 100 performances at the off-Broadway SoHo Playhouse in New York City and was nominated for six Broadway World awards, including Best Play and Best Performance.

The production is directed by Bill Stine, with lighting design by Maartin Cornelis and technical/sound design by John Rodgers.

Critics have lauded the show, with Theater Scene praising Mr Rodgers as a "vivacious, enthusiastic advocate for these two remarkable stories," and Intermission Talk highlighting the "colourful yet remarkably detailed descriptions of their lives."

Don't miss this exceptional theatrical and artistic experience when it lands in Honiton on Friday, September 27.
