15 travellers caravans who set onto Axminster's Jubilee Field on Tuesday have now been 'moved on' according to Axminster Town Council.
In a statement published on the town council's Facebook page on Thursday (August 15), they say they have now gone but the field will remain closed while a clean-up operation gets underway.
They would like to thank all the organisations who assisted them and will issue another update when the field is re-opened. Here is their full statement.
The first statement on Tuesday read: "We are aware that around 15 caravans have pitched up at Jubilee Field without consent.
