The fire service was called at around 8.30pm last night (July 18) following a fire in a garage attached to a house in Seaton.
Fire control sent one fire engine from Seaton and one from Colyton to fight the fire.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Once we got in attendance they got to work to extinguish the fire with the use of 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera.
"The fire has been extinguished and the crew returned to their home stations.
"The cause of this fire is believed to be accidental."
