CLLR Claire Prichard has resigned from Lyme Regis Town Council this week.
Cllr Prichard, who was elected to the council in May, said she was regretfully standing down as a town councillor due to personal issues.
This means there are now two vacancies on the town council, following the resignation of Belinda Bawden in June.
Dorset Council has been informed of the resignation and a notice has been issued to advertise the town councillor vacancy.
An election will take place if 10 or more electors request one by 30 July, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 2 October.
To request an election, electors must write to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ or by email to elections@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk
