Honiton Town Council St Michael`s Ward by-election results are in - and Malcolm Sheen won.
Malcolm Sheen won 1,529 votes and has been elected to the town council, John Taylor won 1,052 votes.
Voter turnout was 47.54%. A casual vacancy has opened up for St Michael's Ward on Honiton Town Council on June 17.
A spokesman for Honiton Town Council said: "A casual vacancy exists in the office of Town Councillor for St Michael's Ward, Honiton.
"Any ten electors for the electoral area may give notice requesting that an election be held to fill this vacancy within fourteen days of publication of the notice."
The list of candidates is Joseph Furneaux, Malcolm Sheen and John Taylor.
The last by-election took place on April 11, where Melvyn Baldock was elected with 408 votes, beating John Taylor at 197, with 14 spoilt ballots and a turnout of 11.6 percent.
