Seaton and District Hospital League of Friends have been celebrating their volunteers this week.

This kicked off during Volunteers’ Week at the beginning of the month, where volunteers were invited along to the League’s new Information Hub, in The Square at Seaton. Staff waited on volunteers, serving tea and biscuits.

Volunteers were thanked personally for the tremendous effort they give towards making Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends viable, and in turn supporting all the services the League offers including SEATON HOSPICE AT HOME.

Mark Hammett from Just Flowers of Seaton kindly dedicated a beautiful window display to the volunteers, dressing this in the colours of The League's new kingfisher logo.

Last week The Leagues’ volunteers enjoyed a delightful tram trip courtesy of Seaton Tramway. A delicious cream tea, in the Garden Room of Colyton Tramstop Café, was gratefully sponsored by Westcotts Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers.

Not only was this a lovely way to show appreciation to our generous volunteer team, it was also a great team bonding experience with the wider League family. The League appreciates the support for their volunteer team shown by the local community.

Kirstine House, CEO of Seaton LOF said: "On behalf of all who work for or benefit from the services provided by Seaton & District Hospital League of Friends I would like to thank our volunteers for their time, commitment and generosity in supporting us. Without their valuable contribution through volunteering we would not be able to support the services that we do. Over the past few months when I have had the pleasure to meet many of our volunteers, I have been amazed by the wide range of skills and talents we are fortunate enough to be able to call on through our wonderful volunteers."
