A young virtuoso pianist is set to perform in Axminster later this month.
10-year-old professional pianist Dee Dee Redford is to perform in Axminster Minster Church on June 27 at 12.30pm.
Her performance, as part of the church's lunchtime recital series, is all the more unique considering her family's rich musical heritage in Axminster.
Her mother, Kim Redford, is also a pianist and performed in the church some years ago.
She said: "I remember when I was playing in the Minster church similarly but about 40 years ago!"
Her older daughter, Bibi Redford, will also be attending the Royal College of Music in London to study piano this September.
Dee Dee, never one to shy away from a good cause, has played concerts and competitions all over Europe and for charities, including Save the Children in Lyme Regis and Pippins Community Centre, which is on her performance itinerary this September.
At the concert, she is set to play works by Mozart, Debussy, Chopin and Granados.
Visitors can enjoy some classical pieces performed by the unusual sight of a professional 10-year-old pianist.
