The recommended candidate to become East Devon District Council's (EDDC) new chief executive has been announced.
Tracy Hendren, current director of housing, health & environment, is the proposed appointee, backed by Tile Hill, an executive recruitment agency, and EDDC's interviewing subcommittee.
She has acted as one of three interim chief executives since October 2023.
If the full council agrees to this recommendation on May 8, she will assume her new role from June 1, 2024.
The selection process includes technical and formal interviews, as well as a psychometric assessment, overseen by both internal and external panels.
EDDC will provide updates on the appointment process and the consequences for Ms Hendren's current role accordingly.
