The Axminster co-op stores have donated a total of £5,400 to three charities, No Toy Left Behind, Project Food and The Community Shed.
Last week, the store managers, their teams and Jacqueline Hughes, the member pioneer, community support, presented a cheque of varying amounts to three local charities and causes supported by the Axminster stores.
The Axminster stores money went to Project Food, The Community Shed and NoToyLeftBehind.
Project Food were able to offer cookery courses and support to the local community. The Community Shed were able to teach young adults from Axe Valley Academy and provide their own valuable woodworking skills to the community. NoToyLeftBehind were able to run Childrens workshops and biodiversity forums.
A spokesman for co-op said: "For every £1 a Co-op member spends on selected items, 2p goes to their local cause and 2p goes in to their own pocket. All money from carrier bag sales also goes to local causes. It’s a WIN WIN."
