Charity calendar launches to raise money for Honiton's Op Rudolph

As well as the community day, Operation Rudolph also launched their charity calendar, which will raise money for Operation Rudolph to host other Christmas activities around the town in the lead-up to Christmas.

Gavin, director of MKM teamed up with Op Rudolph to come up with the 'classic' risqué calendar. 

Sharon Thorne said: "I was initially shocked - especially as they asked me to be in it, but not to be a 'killjoy' I had a think, and I had a lightbulb moment and suggested a 'where the elf' kind of vibe (ala where is Wally).  A photographer was booked and 2 weeks ago we had a ball taking the pictures. I loved that the team at MKM had thought about their 'own posses' and had a photo board planned."

Operation Rudolph is now in its 4th year, and has big plans for this Christmas, there will be several gift drive events this year, the first, A Wood Oven Flat Bread and Father Christmas event, taking place Thursday, October 26 at 7pm, at The Pig in Gittisham.

The second, a Great South West Scone Off at the Georgian Orangery at Deer Park at 2.30pm on November 12. Santa Claus will also be there so make sure you bring a present to donate to him. 

Closer to Christmas, Community Meal on Christmas Day Come and celebrate Christmas with us at The CUB at 12:30, transport available if needed. Unable to come and join us? We are also able to bring a cooked meal out to you.
