Honiton Leisure Centre's sports hall will re-open on Monday, August 14 after having its new flooring installed ahead of schedule.
The renovation will mean football, basketball and netball players have a new surface to play on, which can also be hired for children's birthday parties.
When work began on July 24, the leisure centre said the hall would be shut for a month, but the project was completed a week earlier than expected.
The flooring was fully laid by Sunday, August 6, and the lines were put down in the following days.
Community leisure company LED runs the centre in partnership with East Devon District Council.
A council spokesperson said: “As part of a programme of investment in leisure facilities by East Devon District Council, LED Honiton Leisure Centre's sports hall will re-open on Monday, August 14 with freshly laid flooring.
“The hall can be hired for children's birthday parties, as well as games of badminton, football, pickleball, netball and basketball.
“LED also offers trampolining as part of its junior activities programme.”
A spokesperson for LED Honiton Leisure Centre said: “We are ahead of the game again!
“Check out the work in our sports hall. Thank you, East Devon District Council.
“We are happy to announce we will be re-opening the hall again Monday, a week earlier than anticipated.”
