A SEATON motorist has been banned from driving and hit with a hefty court bill for drink driving.
Pradeesh Thundiparambil, 37, of Fore Street, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at North and East Devon Magistrates' Court sitting at Exeter Law Courts on Wednesday (June 7).
He was in a vehicle at Harbour Road, Seaton, on January 18 when he committed the offence.
A breath test showed Thundiparambil was three times the drink drive limit, recording 107 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Magistrates slapped a £500 fine on him and ordered him to pay a £200 victim surcharge, along with an £85 contribution to Crown Prosecution Service costs.
He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months.
Thundiparambil must clear his total court bill of £785 at a rate of £40 a month commencing on July 5.
