A day of free events takes place on Monday, May 1 to launch East Devon District Council’s Wild Honiton project.
It will be held at Honiton Bottom Nature Reserve between 10am and 3pm, with crafts, walks and nature-based activities for all ages.
There will be stream dipping, bat, bird and bug box making, bug hunting, willow weaving and wildlife spotter sheets for those wanting to explore the nature reserve.
There will also be a guided dog walk with Devon Loves Dogs at 10am, and the Creative Craft Cabin from the Thelma Hulbert Gallery will be there.
Wild Honiton will aim to increase awareness of nature, encouraging people to discover local wildlife and make their gardens more environment friendly. Future events will be announced on the Wild East Devon page of the council’s website.
